SES Supports Formula Buckeyes

The Formula Buckeyes SAE race team consists of over 200 students from a variety of majors including; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Accounting, Physics, Computer Science, History and Welding. Through this variety of talent and dedication, they design, fabricate and race a high performance , open wheeled race car. They compete against over 120 other colleges and universities in the Eastern (Michigan) Formula SAE competition, as well as internationally at Formula Student Germany and Formula North (Canada).

The concept of the Formula SAE competition is to allow students to take part in vehicle research, development and fabrication. FSAE students are highly sought after in industry as a result of their real world problem solving experience gained while on the team. Formula Buckeyes currently have alumni working all around the world in places such as Ford, Honda, Caterpillar, Hexion, Tesla & even Ferrari!

During the 2019 race season, Formula Buckeyes placed:
  • 31st in Michigan FSAE
  • 9th in FSAE North
